February 14, 2017 — It’s been quiet here, huh? Well, with Multiplex ending in the next couple of months, I’ll be moving on to new ideas—one of which is a non-fiction project that will appeal to Stripped Books readers.
June 3, 2006 — Sequential Tart has just put up their June issue, which includes a fun interview with me about Stripped Books, although it touches on Multiplex a tiny bit, as well.
April 27, 2006 — “Stripped
Books: A Comics Panel,” pages
13 & 14 added.
That’s all (for now), folks! With the conclusion
of “A Comics Panel,” Stripped Books is going on
a bit of a hiatus so I can concentrate on Multiplex for
a while. A longer one than there usually is between Stripped Books updates,
I mean. Rest
assured, though, Stripped
Books will
return in some form. I love doing non-fiction comics too much not to. ’Til

12 added. Because of the Easter holiday (and me leaving town over it),
there won’t be an update next week. However, pages 13 and 14 will
follow in two weeks two weeks and a day (sorry), concluding this
installment
of Stripped
Books.
April 6, 2006 — “Stripped
Books: A Comics Panel,” page
11 added.
“Stripped Books: A Comics Panel,” page
11, has been added to the site. On page 11, the tables are turned on Ivan Brunetti,
as Chris Ware points out Brunetti’s own recent style change (which can
be found in the superlative Schizo #4).
March 30, 2006 — “Stripped
Books: A Comics Panel, Part Three” begins.
I apologize about the delays with Stripped
Books, but Multiplex and my day job have been a bit more time consuming
than they had been previously. If you’re a Multiplex fan,
you’ll know that I haven’t missed a deadline for that strip, and
hopefully you’ll understand. If you’re not a Multiplex fan,
then, well, you won’t. In any case, there is a bit of a change of plans — “Stripped
Books: A Comics Panel, Part Three” will be serialized now, starting today.
Page 10 picks up exactly where we left off before, with Chris Ware responding
to the question of style that Ivan Brunetti posed in Part Two. Page 11 will be
posted next Thursday, April 6.
January 26, 2006 — “A
Comics Panel, Part Two” added.
In Part Two of “Stripped Books: A Comics
Panel,” Chris Ware and Seth talk about how they attack the blank page,
and Ivan Brunetti brings up the question of “style.” Part Three will
be added in about a month.
December 5, 2005 — “A
Comics Panel, Part One” added.
In the first of a three-part Stripped Books,
Ivan Brunetti (Schizo) guides Chris Ware (Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest
Kid on Earth) and Seth (Palookaville) through their thoughts about
deadlines and what their typical work day is like. Part two will follow in about
a month.
September 5, 2005 — “Harry
Potter and the 57th St. Books Release Party” added.
At long last, the first Stripped Books exclusive
to the new site is up — and that means, despite being up since July, StrippedBooks.com is
officially launched! Read the full press release here.
The new installment, covering the Chicago-based 57th
St. Books’ Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince release
party, is six pages long and sports a painted cover by the lovely and talented
Libby
VanderPloeg.
July 7, 2005 — StrippedBooks.com is
(unofficially) launched! Formerly a popular, semi-regular feature for the now defunct
book website, Bookslut, Stripped
Books can now be found at its new home... right here!
StrippedBooks.com also houses many of my
other cartoons and comics, some previously published elsewhere, others exclusive
to this site. Enjoy!
